EG, SAT, SAG, AGG migrations
Infrastructure Migrations & Network Transformation
National-scale port and core migrations with zero impact
Mikkena’s Migration Engineering Program moves thousands of ports and services from legacy platforms to next-generation core layers without customer outages.
What we do
- End-to-end migration architecture: legacy-to-new mapping, routing schema translation, platform behaviour modelling, redundancy planning and rollback frameworks.
- Port-by-port validation: MAC alignment, CMTS/OLT mapping, IP and routing checks, platform compatibility and service dependency modelling.
- Configuration & script engineering: migration and rollback scripts, router/CMTS adjustments, port reassignments, QoS behaviour checks and multi-layer configuration mapping.
- Pre-migration simulation: testing routing behaviours, failover conditions and pre-activation configs in a controlled environment.
- Live migration execution: controlled change windows with real-time monitoring of service health, route tables, device registrations and customer impact.
- Issue tracking & closure: structured documentation, tickets, exception resolution and final validation for each batch.
Workflow
- Pre-audit: compare provisioning/engineering data with live configs and validate both source and destination platforms.
- Kickoff & syncs: market-specific kickoff and weekly engineering calls to resolve blockers.
- Analysis: finalise batch grouping, script generation, ticket submission and change validation.
- Migration: execute, monitor, troubleshoot and formally close migration batches.
Performance (2024–2026)
- 2024: 9,772 ports migrated,zero customer-impacting outages.
- 2025 YTD: 9,761 ports migrated, again zero outages.
- 2026 projection: ~25,000 ports migrated nationwide across high-density markets.
Why Tier 1 operators rely on Mikkena:
Enterprise-grade accuracy across EG, SAT, SAG, AGG migrations, structured methodology, zero-impact track record and ability to scale from regional projects to national programs.
